Citizen Bare is in their Vermont home studio working on the follow up effort to the 2011 EP, Carnival. The band is collaborating with former Phish engineer, Pete Carini, to craft a sound that highlights their Americana and Blues sensibilities. The songs illustrate Citizen Bare’s evolving sound with four-part harmonies, organ sounds through a rotating Leslie speaker, melodic guitar solos, and a revamped rhythm section. Lyrically, the songs explore introspective themes of love, family, and change along with fallout from the floods brought on by Hurricane Irene that ravaged large swaths of their Vermont landscape. The band will release the first three tracks of the album tentatively called Flood in the summer of 2013 and will be doing a string of shows in support of the tracks.
